A 90-Day Bible Reading Plan for Men (Every Reading Listed)

Short answer: a 90-day Bible reading plan for men works best when each day is one short passage, one question, and one thing to do before lunch. Below is a complete 90-day plan in four phases, with every reading listed so you can print it, tick it off, or run it with a men's group.

FORGED: Daily Bible for Men is a 90-day Bible plan and Christian devotional for men, built around the same four phases. The plan on this page is a free companion you can use with or without the app.

How to use this plan

  • One passage a day. Most readings are a single chapter, about five minutes.
  • Ask one question: "What does this ask me to do today?" Write the answer in one line.
  • Do it before noon. The point of the reading is the action, not the box you tick.
  • Missed a day? Read today's passage, not yesterday's. Do not try to catch up by reading three at once.

Phase 1: Wake Up (Days 1–21)

Start with the life of Jesus in Mark, the shortest Gospel, then the practical letter of James.

  • Days 1–16: Mark 1 through Mark 16, one chapter a day
  • Days 17–21: James 1 through James 5, one chapter a day

Phase 2: Cut Away (Days 22–45)

Name what needs to go. Proverbs on habits, Romans and Galatians on the old life and the new, then the Psalms of repentance and integrity.

  • Days 22–29: Proverbs 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 10, 11, 12
  • Days 30–33: Romans 5, 6, 7, 8
  • Days 34–35: Galatians 5, 6
  • Days 36–45: Psalm 1, 15, 32, 34, 51, 101, 112, 127, 128, 139

Phase 3: Build (Days 46–70)

Build something that lasts: Nehemiah rebuilding the wall, then the letters on how a man leads at home, at work and in the church.

  • Days 46–51: Nehemiah 1 through 6
  • Days 52–57: Ephesians 1 through 6
  • Days 58–61: 1 Timothy 3, 4, 5, 6
  • Days 62–64: Titus 1, 2, 3
  • Days 65–68: Philippians 1 through 4
  • Day 69: Colossians 3
  • Day 70: 1 Peter 5

Phase 4: Stand (Days 71–90)

Men who stood under pressure, the Sermon on the Mount, and Jesus' last words to his friends.

  • Day 71: Joshua 1
  • Day 72: 1 Samuel 17
  • Days 73–75: Daniel 1, 3, 6
  • Days 76–79: 2 Timothy 1 through 4
  • Days 80–81: Hebrews 11, 12
  • Days 82–84: Matthew 5, 6, 7
  • Days 85–89: John 13 through 17
  • Day 90: Ephesians 6:10–20, the armor of God

A one-line daily log

Copy this into a notebook or your phone. One line a day is enough:

Day __ · Passage ______ · Today it asks me to ______ · Done before noon? Y / N

Running it with a men's group

Meet once a week and ask three questions only: Which day hit hardest? What did you actually do? Where did you skip, and why? Keep it to 30 minutes. A group that tries to cover every passage runs out of time; a group that talks about what each man did stays honest.

Frequently asked questions

Which Bible translation should I use?

Any translation you will actually read. If you are new, choose a plain modern one. The FORGED app quotes the World English Bible word for word and keeps its own explanations clearly separate.

Is 90 days better than a Bible-in-a-year plan?

For many men, yes. A year-long plan asks for three or four chapters a day for twelve months. Ninety days of one chapter is a finish line you can see from Day 1.

What if I have never read the Bible?

Start at Day 1 and do not skip ahead. Mark was written to be read straight through by people who knew nothing about Jesus.

If you want the plan on your phone

FORGED: Daily Bible for Men turns each day into about ten minutes: a practical challenge (BODY), one passage explained in plain English with one action for the day (MIND), and a quiet prayer timer (SPIRIT). Day 1, Bible Basics and the Bible glossary are free, and no account is needed.
